Vicente Leite

Electrical Engineering

Américo Vicente Teixeira Leite received the diploma, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering, from the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto, in 1993, 1997 and 2004, respectively. He became Assistant Professor at School of Technology and Management (ESTiG) of Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) in 1994 where he is professor in the field of Electronics, Power Electronics and Converters, Electrical Drives and Photovoltaic Systems. He was Vice-Dean of the ESTiG-IPB and President of the Scientific Council, President of the Assembly of Representatives, and Coordinator of the Electrical Engineering Department. He is the author or co-author of more than fifty publications in his research fields, and he holds a National Invention Patent. He participates or has participated in 8 international and 5 national projects.
