Removing barriers between machines and humans, literally. CeDRI researchers Luis Piardi and Heitor Assumpção contribute to the integration of a collaborative robot (COBOT) in a metal stamping industry for automotive parts, enabling people and robots to work side by side on the same production line.
The Mountain Research Center (CIMO) and the Research Center in Digitalization and Intelligent Robotics (CeDRI), based at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, obtain the highest ranking among the Associated Laboratory. The submitted application obtained a classification of 100%, thus guaranteeing the Statute of Associated Laboratory and additional funding for a period of 10 years.
