News | From research to innovation: the EDI+ tool developed in Portugal!
🚀 From research to innovation: the EDI+ tool developed in Portugal! How can scientific research be turned into a solution with a real impact? 🇵🇹 The Centre for Research in Digitalisation and Intelligent Robotics (CeDRI) at the Polytechnic University of Bragança has developed the EDI+ Tool, a digital platform that supports research centres and universities in promoting Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). Developed as part of the European STEP project, the tool enables users to monitor performance indicators, create anonymous surveys, generate reports and visualise data via interactive dashboards. In this way, it helps institutions identify areas for improvement, track progress and make data-driven decisions. Participation in the widerAdvance Facility has helped to strengthen the strategy for promoting and showcasing this solution, creating opportunities for new partnerships and for its adoption by more organisations. 🌍 The next step? To extend the use of the EDI+ Tool to new research centres, universities and organisations, reinforcing the impact of science in building more equitable, diverse and inclusive environments. 🔗 Read this success story: https://www.wideradvance.eu/success-stories/edi-tool-portugal #CeDRI #UPB #EDI #Equity #Diversity #Inclusion #ScientificResearch #Innovation #WiderAdvance #ScienceWithImpact #EuropeanUnion

News | STARS-Health consortium.
Two intense days in Bragança with the STARS-Health consortium! On 19 and 20 October, partners from the Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Spain and the Czech Republic met at Polytechnic University of Bragança to move the project forward. STARS-Health aims to help older adults with lower health and digital literacy understand and use digital health services. We are doing this by designing a Luma app and ecosystem and by creating training for formal and informal caregivers, so that care is more integrated and health inequalities between older adults are reduced. What we worked on: - Blended care: reviewing the test-phase results and the adjustments ahead (WP4) - Caregiver training: a co-design workshop on “Working and Deciding Together” (WP5) - Impact, dissemination and publication strategy (WP2) - The road towards the final results (WP3) - A meeting of our advisory board Thank you to everyone who travelled to Bragança and to those who joined online. Great discussions, and a warm welcome from the whole UPB team. #cedri #CeDRI #UPB #innovation #research #starshealth
