Electrical Engineering
André Chaves Mendes has graduated in Naval Sciences from the Brazilian Naval Academy (1996) and in Electrical Engineering (emphasis on Telecommunications) from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (Poli-USP) (2001). After, he got a master's degree (GTA/2010) and a doctorate (LAND/2015), both in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPE/UFRJ). He is also part (2017-) of the Graduate Program in Systems and Computing Engineering (PPGSC) of the Military Institute of Engineering (IME), based in Rio de Janeiro, performing as a collaborate professor. Currently (2020-), he is a collaborator at CeDRI and a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Autonomous Systems Engineering, University of Vigo, Spain. His main topics of interest are interdisciplinary research in the areas of Autonomic Networks and Wireless Networks.
