News | CeDRI EDI+ Impact Research Award 2026, presented during SASYR.
CeDRI is also delighted to announce that its researcher, Ângela Ferreira, has been awarded the CeDRI EDI+ Impact Research Award 2026, presented during SASYR, for the paper "Accessible Power for Medical Equipment in Remote Healthcare: A Solution for Single-Phase Power Generation Using Three-Phase Induction Machines".
The award recognises the outstanding contribution of this research to promoting equality, inclusion and technological accessibility in healthcare. The paper was co-authored by Bruno Romeiro (CeDRI, SusTEC, IPB; LINMET, UTFPR), Carlos Oliveira (LINMET, UTFPR), Cicero Hildenberg (LINMET, UTFPR) and Francisco Filho (LINMET, UTFPR).
Now in its second edition, the CeDRI EDI+ Impact Research Award recognises research that combines scientific excellence with a meaningful societal impact, reinforcing CeDRI's commitment to equity, inclusion, civic responsibility, and the role of science and technology in building a fairer and more inclusive society.
