Advanced Computing Laboratory

The main vocation of the Advanced Computing Laboratory is to support teaching, research and development in the areas of Parallel and Distributed Computing, High Performance Computing, Systems Virtualization and Cloud Computing, Systems and Network Management, Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Data Analytics, and Signal Processing and Artificial Vision. In this context, the LCA is associated with the management and operation of the new HPC cluster acquired by CeDRI under the "i4.0@tmad" project.

The laboratory has 12 state-of-the-art workstations, spread over 4 rows of 3 tables each, with each table having 4 electrical sockets and 4 network sockets for maximum flexibility. It also has an additional row of 4 free tables, suitable for the use of laptops, among other purposes. There is also an office for end-of-course or R&D projects, with capacity for 3 users.
