A group of high school students, accompanied by their teachers, participated today, November 25, 2021, in the activities "Robot@Factory Lite" and "Cockpit Airbus A320: The Physics of Flight", held at CeDRI-ESTIG-IPB.

In the activity Robot@Factory Lite the stages of the national competition Robot@Factory Lite were demonstrated, which takes place annually in the Portuguese Robotics Open, including all the processes that involve the development of an autonomous robot. Thus, we promoted the dissemination of the importance of robotics competitions and their implications in industry, teaching and society.

In the activity "Cockpit Airbus A320: The Physics of Flight" the basic principles of aircraft flight physics were described, i.e., the forces that act on the aircraft fuselage and its control so that the aircraft does not fall and a controlled flight can be performed. In addition to the physics of flight, at the end the students tested their piloting skills by trying to land the plane at an airport of their choice.
