Removing barriers between machines and humans, literally. CeDRI researchers Luis Piardi and Heitor Assumpção contribute to the integration of a collaborative robot (COBOT) in a metal stamping industry for automotive parts, enabling people and robots to work side by side on the same production line. In addition to operating safely when sharing space with a human, COBOT can also identify and adapt to the orientation of a produced part. The initiative relies on the joint integration of Research and Development between CeDRI and CATRAPORT and Growskills Robotics.
