The Alcino Lavrador Recognition Award ceremony took place at Altice Labs in Aveiro on November 17. The award is given to final-year Bachelor's or Master's students in the fields of Information, Communication, and Electronic Technologies (TICE) or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

In the 2025 edition, at IPB, the award was given to Tiago Pereira Ribeiro, a student in the Master's program in Computer Science at ESTiG. Under the co-supervision of professors Luisa Jorge and João Paulo Coelho, Tiago developed a dissertation entitled "Smart Crosswalks in Smart Cities - Computational Management including Visible Light Communication" and was a scientific research fellow at CeDRI in 2022 and 2023.
