The DISRUPTIVE project, integrated in its training activities, organizes the course: "Development of Multi-Agent Systems with the JADE platform". The multi-agent systems approach is used for the development of distributed applications based on autonomous and collaborative components. In this context, this course focuses on the use of the JADE platform for multi-agent systems development in order to provide practical knowledge for its application in the context of CPS and IoT.

The course has a duration of 16 hours divided into four online units with four hours each, distributed as follows:


Online unit (4 hours - 23/09/2021 at 14h00 WET [Lisbon-PT])

Online unit (4 hours - 24/09/2021 at 14h00 WET [Lisbon-PT])

Online unit (4 hours - 30/09/2021 at 14h00 WET [Lisbon-PT])

Online unit (4 hours - 01/10/2021 at 14h00 WET [Lisbon-PT])

The videoconference will be held via Zoom Meeting. Instructors include IPB researchers Jonas Queiroz, Alexandre Júnior, Heitor Assumpção, Gustavo Funchal, Victória Melo and Paulo Leitão.


TRAINING PROGRAM:

Introduction to the JADE platform and configuration of the development environment.

Development of agent-based systems (structures and interactions)

Practical exercises using the presented technologies

Examples of applications in the context of CPS and IoT

The practical activities will be developed with the help of the instructors. The event has as requirements for participation knowledge in programming logic. The target audience are students of electrical engineering, computer science, as well as enthusiasts interested in the development of applications based on Agents.
