Bruno Costa and Laxmi Bhandari are the promoters of the Balvia company that develops the SelfMed device. SelfMed is a home care device that supports an ecosystem that integrates a pill dispenser, a smart-band for monitoring and alerting, and an intelligent AI-based system that integrates all data and defines a user profile. The project has the scientific support of José Lima, Rui Pedro and Ana I. Pereira from CeDRI - IPB, Luís Mesquita from GICoS - IPB and Vera Lebre from CIMO - IPB.
